South Africa’s Cape Town Carnival of Minstrel
In South Africa’s Cape Town, they celebrated this festival annually at the 1st day of the year with unique styles of clothes and gestures that can be compared on the clothes of the carnival people. The carnival of minstrel is also called as the coon carnival. It start’s during the 19th century when the slaves given freedom. It is given during the 2nd day of January. It happened when the American’s minstrels arrived on this town in some part of 19th century. This event is celebrated with music with the traditional dance of Tuareg for 3 days which takes place in Essakane and two hours from the Timbuktu of Mali.
